Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Abbott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Anthony Abbott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abbott throws an off balance right hand

and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Abbott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Abbott throws a low kick, looking for Jackson's leg but Jackson calmly moves out of range.
Abbott cracks Jackson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Abbott definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Abbott scores with a jab. Jackson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jackson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Abbott lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson tries to clinch but Abbott moves out of range.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Abbott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.
Abbott stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Abbott defends well and Jackson ends up having to push Abbott into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Anthony Abbott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Jackson.

Abbott manages to break the clinch.
Abbott dips to his left and cracks Jackson with an uppercut!
Abbott looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Abbott throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jackson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Abbott counters with an outside leg kick.
Abbott throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease.
Abbott swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Abbott punishes Jackson's body with a nice straight punch.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Abbott ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson shoots and misses
and Abbott counters with a straight right hand.
Jackson looks winded!
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Abbott leaves Jackson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Abbott is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abbott throws a low kick, looking for Jackson's leg but Jackson calmly moves out of range.
Abbott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jackson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Abbott is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jackson.
Abbott lands a lovely overhand right.


Jackson is rocked!

Anthony Abbott bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
