Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Stien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Stien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 28 - 0, fighting out of London, Richie Yang!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stien jabs at Yang's body.
Stien looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Stien throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A right-left combo lands from Yang.
Richie Yang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stien drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Yang looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Yang keeping moving, preventing Stien from controlling successfully.

Yang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stien gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yang looking for a guillotine here but Stien defends easily.
Our spies down at at Gorilla Warfare MMA inform us that Yang has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Stien working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yang's head.
Stien wants to control from the top but Yang keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stien forces his way into half guard.
Stien is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Stien prevents Yang from improving his position.
Yang is still trying to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stien sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Yang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stien pulls his head out easily.
Ground and pound from Stien.
Stien content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Yang looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Yang wants to control but Stien passes into side.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Yang struggling a bit here.
Yang takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yang regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yang is looking for a sweep. Stien is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stien slows the pace down in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stien connects with a nice short shot to Yang's temple.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Yang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stien pulls his head out easily.
Stien passes into side control, despite Yang's attempt to control the position.
Stien trying to control the position but Yang is working away.
Yang struggling a bit here.
Yang is looking to regain half guard here but Stien keeps moving and retains side control.
Stien trying to control the action but Yang is working from the bottom.
Yang is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Yang is looking for a sweep.
Yang sneaks back into half guard.
Yang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stien is working away from the top position though.
Stien wants to control but Yang is keeping him busy.

Stien moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Yang.
Yang tries to bench press Stien off him but Stien keeps the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stien scores with a couple of short elbows.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
You can see the frustration on Yang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Yang takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Yang takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Stien dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Stien moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Yang instigates a clinch.
Yang tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Stien fails to land.
Yang is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stien to keep the fight standing.

Stien manages to pull guard.
Yang postures up.
Stien tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Yang avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stien is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Stien controlling Yang's posture.
Yang throwing strikes but missing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Yang passes Stien's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Yang throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Stien is trying to control but Yang manages to pass to mount!
Yang scoring with strikes but Stien is staying in there.
Yang has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stien's face.
Stien tries to lock up and control but Yang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Stien is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yang breaks from Stien's wrist control and lands an elbow.


It looks like Ben Stien has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yang prevents Stien from getting the reversal.
Yang connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Ben Stien's cut is getting worse.
Stien tries to hold on but Yang postures up.
Yang is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stien can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Ben Stien's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Yang throwing strikes here but Stien is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
We've been hearing good reports from Stien's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Stien tries to reverse the position but Yang maintains control.
Yang dominating with strikes here.


Jeez, Ben Stien's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ben Stien's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Richie Yang!
A very excited looking Richie Yang made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
