Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rodriguez wants it to stay on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rodriguez enables Henderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rodriguez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Henderson throws an elbow that misses. Rodriguez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henderson's guard. Nice move by Rodriguez!

Rodriguez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Rodriguez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The referee warns Henderson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rodriguez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Henderson for as long as he can get away with.

Rodriguez has control of Henderson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Henderson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rodriguez in particular looking to stall.

Rodriguez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Henderson some visible discomfort.

Rodriguez is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Henderson is trying to escape and Rodriguez transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Henderson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rodriguez! Very nice indeed!
