Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Corpuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jory Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz has chosen ain't worried about nothin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cruz. Corpuz shrugs it off though.

Corpuz drives through and clinches with Cruz against the cage.
Cruz wants to break free but Corpuz has control.

Corpuz has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cruz regains guard immediately.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cruz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Cruz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cruz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Corpuz controls the pace.
Corpuz throws a big right hand that misses.
Corpuz content to stall in guard here.
Corpuz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

James Corpuz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Corpuz. No joy for Cruz on that attempt.
Cruz looks winded!

Corpuz drives through with a takedown into Cruz's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corpuz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cruz for as long as he can get away with.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Corpuz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cruz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Corpuz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cruz pulls down on the head and he's put Corpuz to sleep! This one is all over!
