The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slamen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sauna defends well and Slamen ends up having to push Sauna into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sauna accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Slamen is pulling down on Sauna's head. It's preventing any offense from Sauna, at least for the moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Troy Slamen wasn't active enough on the ground.
Slamen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sauna's waist but Sauna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slamen off to one side.

Slamen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sauna throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Slamen on the side of the head.
Slamen connects with a crisp jab.
Sauna lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Slamen can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Sauna and Slamen drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Sauna.

Chael Sauna really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that GREEN!160 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
