Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ambrose Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Reis!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sampson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sampson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reis's waist but Reis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sampson off to one side.
Reis tries to clinch but Sampson moves away
and Sampson counters with a good low kick that Reis was not able to check.
Sampson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reis defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ambrose Sampson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reis wants to clinch up but Sampson keeps it at a distance.
Reis tries to clinch but Sampson is having none of it.
Sampson misses with a body kick.
Reis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sampson under the eye.
Sampson wants to clinch up but Reis keeps it at a distance.
Jose Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sampson swats away the attempt to clinch by Reis.

Sampson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reis tries to break the clinch but Sampson is controlling the position.
Sampson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Reis tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Sampson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Reis avoids it.

Sampson tries to score a body lock takedown but Reis shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Reis is working Sampson over against the cage.
Sampson goes for a takedown attempt but Reis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Nice takedown defense from Reis. No joy for Sampson on that attempt.
Reis is looking to clinch.

Reis throws a push kick but Sampson slaps the foot to one side.
Reis tries to clinch up.
Jose Reis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reis wants to clinch.
Reis tries to clinch but Sampson moves out of range.
Sampson shoots in looking for a takedown but Reis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sampson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sampson.
Sampson is breathing heavily.
Reis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sampson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reis pinned against the cage. Reis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reis swats away the attempt to clinch by Sampson.

Sampson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Reis. That one must have hurt.
Reis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Reis doesn't manage to clinch there - Sampson circles away.
Reis moves in looking to clinch but Sampson pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Reis clinches with his opponent.
Sampson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sampson as Reis tries to tie him up.

Reis breaks the clinch.
Sampson fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sampson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Reis.
Reis tries to clinch up but Sampson circles away and keeps his distance.
Reis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sampson.
Sampson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Reis.
Sampson tries to close the distance and clinch but Reis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sampson keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice body kick there by Sampson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reis is looking to clinch but Sampson is avoiding it.
Sampson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reis but Reis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reis scoring well with a low kick there.
Reis misses with a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Reis dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Reis throws a series of punches but Sampson moves out of range.
Ambrose Sampson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


Sampson is rocked!
Reis doesn't manage to clinch there - Sampson circles away.
Oh Sampson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Reis keeps the fight on the outside.
Reis wants to clinch but Sampson slips to the side

and Sampson counters by moving into the clinch.
Reis leaning his opponent against the cage.

Reis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reis throws a leg kick which misses Sampson's front leg but catches the back leg as Sampson tries to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reis throws a good cross that connects.
Reis thuds a left hand into Sampson's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reis circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sampson to the canvas! Sampson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Reis keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Reis!
