Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Azuma moves away.
Akira Azuma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Azuma was well out of range. Poor timing from White.

White just misses with a punch to the body.
White drops his hands momentarily and Azuma takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
White fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
White throws a lazy right hand but Azuma sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

White fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Azuma on the side of the head.
White bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Azuma looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks White with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
White wants to control but Azuma is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Azuma is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White.

White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

White changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Azuma fights it off and pushes away nicely.

White is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Azuma rather than just go for the knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
