The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buddy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Little sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Buddy fakes the leg kick and cracks Little in the body.
Little avoids a punch combination nicely.
Buddy throws a right and a left that Little avoids nicely.
Little dodges the punch combination from Buddy.
al Buddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buddy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Little's waist but Little gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buddy off to one side.
No joy there for Buddy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Little tries for a takedown but Buddy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Little has Buddy up against the cage in a clinch.

Buddy pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Little back to the cage. Buddy follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Buddy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Little.
Little shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buddy but Buddy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Little counters with a three punch combo that has Buddy backing up. Buddy nods at Little to acknowledge the strikes.
Little takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Buddy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

No joy there for Buddy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Little tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buddy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Little somewhat.

and Little decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Buddy's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Little's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Little shoots for a takedown but Buddy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Little wants to clinch up but Buddy keeps it at a distance.

and Little counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Buddy rushes Little and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Little jumps guard and drags Buddy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by al Buddy.
Little throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Buddy.
Little stuffs the takedown.
Buddy shoots for a double leg takedown but Little sprawls well. He's pushed Buddy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Little swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Buddy.

Little is trying to pull guard but Buddy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Little breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Virgil Little is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Buddy.

Little closes the distance and pushes Buddy back into the cage.

A right hook to the body lands for Little.
Buddy is trying to break the clinch but Little has him pressed against the cage.
Buddy is pressed up against the cage. Little has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Buddy down to the mat. Buddy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Buddy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Little to the mat! Little manages to get full guard.
Buddy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Little stands and steps away. Buddy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Buddy lands a big head kick that sends Little tumbling to the mat! Buddy takes a step backwards and waves Little back to his feet - he wants the finish!
