Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Christensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiki Mahingi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Malcolm Christensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kiki Mahingi!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahingi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mahingi blocks a head kick by Christensen.
Mahingi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Christensen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mahingi somewhat.
Christensen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Christensen wants to clinch up but Mahingi keeps it at a distance.
Mahingi shoots in but Christensen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Christensen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mahingi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Christensen as he avoids it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christensen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mahingi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Christensen's guard! Nice work there by Mahingi!

Mahingi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christensen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kiki Mahingi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Christensen moves into the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mahingi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Christensen tries to avoid it but Mahingi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Christensen to the ground. Christensen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Christensen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Christensen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mahingi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Christensen is really struggling to control Mahingi but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Malcolm Christensen just wasn't active enough.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Christensen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mahingi's guard.
