Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mitchel Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Ollis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin Ollis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ollis gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ollis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ollis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alexander's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ollis wants to sweep but no luck.
Alexander won't allow Ollis to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ollis misses the shot to the body.
Ollis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alexander manages to avoid it.
Alexander changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ollis tries to avoid it but Alexander manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ollis to the ground. Ollis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alexander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ollis's waist but Ollis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alexander off to one side.
Ollis moves out of range as Alexander throws a body kick.
Alexander really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ollis dives in and scores a takedown into Alexander's guard.

Alexander is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ollis defends well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Franklin Ollis.

Ollis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Franklin Ollis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ollis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ollis looks winded!

Alexander tries to sprawl but Ollis drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ollis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alexander does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Alexander wants to get back to full guard.

Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ollis is looking to pass into half guard but Alexander pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Alexander is in guard.
Alexander won't allow Ollis to sweep him here.
Ollis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Alexander misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Alexander drives through and clinches with Ollis against the cage.
Alexander will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ollis up against the cage.

Alexander breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Alexander is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ollis is aware though and is defending well.

Ollis looking to sit in guard and control but Alexander gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Alexander would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Alexander gets to his feet. Ollis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Ollis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ollis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Alexander doesn't manage to clinch there - Ollis circles away.

Alexander fails to land the takedown.

Ollis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alexander was covering up waiting for the punch and Ollis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ollis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Alexander works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ollis wants to control from the top but Alexander keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ollis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alexander looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alexander looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alexander!

Ollis tries to improve his position but Alexander has taken his back! Alexander has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ollis tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Alexander pushes Ollis away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
