Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Miller!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson lands with a good body shot.
Ferguson tries for a takedown but Miller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Miller darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ferguson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miller manages to get himself to full guard.

Ferguson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ferguson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Miller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ferguson shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Ferguson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Miller working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Ferguson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Miller is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Miller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferguson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joshua Ferguson will probably get the nod.
