Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Mannix McGuiness!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dodson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McGuiness shoots in and bounces Dodson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
McGuiness with a nice head shot there.
McGuiness controls from within his opponent's guard.
McGuiness preventing the sweep.
McGuiness scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McGuiness works over Dodson with some ground and pound from guard.

McGuiness with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Dodson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
McGuiness slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGuiness is trying to work for a kimura but Dodson is defending well.
Dodson wants to improve his position but McGuiness is controlling well.
McGuiness looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dodson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

McGuiness is working for a submission of some sort.
Dodson is concentrating on defense, preventing McGuiness from advancing position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGuiness throwing shots but Dodson is blocking nicely.

Dodson has hold of McGuiness's hands but McGuiness slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Oh Dodson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McGuiness slips a nice elbow through Dodson's hands, connecting with Dodson's forehead.
McGuiness is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Dodson is hurt! He's hurt bad - McGuiness fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Dodson from any more punishment! Congratulations to McGuiness! Great finish!
