Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenard Bender!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Blacky!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blacky dives in and grabs Bender's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bender pushes down on Blacky's head and hops out.
Blacky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Blacky fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Blacky or perhaps it was just good defense by Bender which made him look bad.
Lenard Bender has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Blacky.
Blacky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bender clinches up against the cage.
Blacky is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bender is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Blacky to the mat. Blacky regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Bender stops Blacky from standing up.
Blacky is looking to sweep but instead, Bender has passed into half guard.
Bender is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bender is trying to work for a kimura but Blacky is defending well.
Blacky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bender is controlling the pace.
Blacky wants to stand back up but Bender manages to pass into side control.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Blacky has eaten all the pies!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bender is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Blacky is trying to escape and Bender transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Blacky is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bender! Very nice indeed!
