Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cainler Velasder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Scholes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Scholes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Cainler Velasder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Scholes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scholes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Velasder tries to improve position but can't.
Velasder trying to remain calm as Scholes controls from the top position.
It looks like Scholes might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Scholes was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Scholes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Scholes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Scholes.

Velasder closes the distance and clinches.
Scholes wants to take the fight to the mat but Velasder manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Velasder is fighting off a takedown attempt but Scholes is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Velasder to the mat. Velasder regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Scholes slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Scholes was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Scholes shoots in for a takedown but Velasder shows good takedown defense.
Velasder dives in and grabs Scholes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scholes pushes down on Velasder's head and hops out.

Scholes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Scholes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Scholes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Velasder tries to buck Scholes off but Scholes is having none of it.

A lull in the action here as Scholes stalls from top position.

Paul Scholes has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Scholes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Velasder as he jumps to the side.
Cainler Velasder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Scholes.

Scholes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Scholes showed some decent athleticism there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Velasder is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Scholes dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Scholes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Scholes in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Velasder is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Velasder is working hard here to advance position.

Scholes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Paul Scholes wasn't active enough on the ground.
Scholes goes for a double leg but Velasder avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Velasder continues to drive forward.
Velasder wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Velasder misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Velasder tries to pull guard but Scholes holds him up against the cage and eventually Velasder drops back down to his feet.
Velasder prevents a takedown attempt there.

Velasder is trying to break free.
Scholes has Velasder pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Velasder manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Cainler Velasder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Scholes.
Velasder goes for a takedown attempt but Scholes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Scholes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Velasder as he jumps to the side.
Cainler Velasder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Scholes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Velasder's guard.

Velasder looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scholes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Let's hope that Scholes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Velasder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Scholes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Velasder defends well and Scholes ends up having to push Velasder into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Scholes wants a takedown but no success here.
Velasder tries to pull guard but Scholes won't allow it.
Velasder has had enough of the clinch but Scholes keeps him there for the moment.

Velasder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Scholes just stands there and leans against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scholes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Velasder pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Velasder is trying to force a seperation but Scholes has the dominant position.
Velasder is trying to break the clinch but Scholes is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Scholes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Velasder shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Scholes sprawls well. Scholes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Velasder gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasder tries to bench press Scholes off him but Scholes keeps the position.

Scholes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Velasder's waist but Velasder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Scholes off to one side.
