Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patricia Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nich DiM (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smith wants it to stay on the feet.
DiM looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. DiM looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so DiM is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold.
DiM wants to control but Smith is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Nich DiM showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown by DiM or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.

DiM isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Smith stacks DiM on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smith!
