Ironz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Limp Bizkit - Gold Cobra. Lindel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Clawfinger - Biggest & The Best . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikael Lindel!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Lindel catches Ironz right on the button with a cross.
We've been told by Ironz's head coaches at Gym Beam that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lindel checks a leg kick.
Lindel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ironz fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ironz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ironz jabs Lindel right on the nose. Lindel blinks but takes it well.


It looks like Mikael Lindel has been cut.
Ironz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ironz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lindel has a takedown stuffed.
Ironz just misses with a punch to the body.
Lindel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ironz as he jumps to the side.
Mikael Lindel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lindel shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ironz is looking to improve his position.
Lindel throwing shots but Ironz is blocking nicely.
Ironz trying to hold on to Lindel's head to control him but Lindel postures up.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lindel lands a nice short elbow.
Ironz is concentrating on defense, preventing Lindel from advancing position.
Lindel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lindel is working for a kimura but Ironz is defending it quite comfortably.
Ironz is not content to let Lindel control the position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Ironz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lindel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ironz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lindel has Ironz in his guard.
Lindel wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lindel has his foot on Ironz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ironz works his way back into a safe position though.

Lindel looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ironz has picked Lindel up and slammed him! Lindel can't keep hold of the triangle and Ironz manages to pass to side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mikael Lindel will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lindel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ironz sprawls well. Ironz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lindel gets slowly back to his feet.
Lindel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ironz.
Ironz throws a shot from downtown. Lindel moves away and avoids it.
Lindel digs a good body shot into Ironz's ribs.
Lindel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ironz.
Ironz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lindel shoots in looking for a takedown. Ironz tries to sprawl out of it but Lindel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ironz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ironz.
Lindel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Lindel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ironz swivels and escapes.
Arnie Ironz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikael Lindel.
Good exchange - Ironz coming out on top.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ironz moves in looking to clinch but Lindel pushes him off.
That kick from Ironz tenderised Lindel's leg. Lindel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lindel is breathing heavily.
Ironz throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Lindel crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Arnie Ironz!
