With a record of 7 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Santos!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos dives in for a single leg takedown but Zero sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Zero lands with a short punch from the clinch.

It looks like Jorge Santos has been cut.
Zero working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Zero lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Zero drops Santos onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Santos is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Santos is rocked!
I was talking to Zero's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zero dips a shoulder and cracks Santos with a mighty uppercut! Santos falls back against the cage and Zero unloads with a barrage of strikes! Santos is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Zero screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sub Zero!
Sub Zero took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
