PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Mask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panzer Grenadier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mask comes to the cage accompanied by Wait, what? OH MY GOD, Tiger has joined the Dark Side!!. Grenadier has chosen Esaka '96 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mask takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Grenadier paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mask throws a series of punches but Grenadier avoids them all with ease.
Grenadier connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mask. Mask circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mask shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Grenadier cracks Mask with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mask takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Grenadier fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Grenadier gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mask to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Grenadier wants to get back to his feet but Mask is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mask controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mask throws a strike but Grenadier rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Panzer Grenadier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Grenadier enables Mask to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grenadier manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mask lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mask is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Grenadier is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Grenadier has escaped and now he's on top!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Grenadier, as that shot connected.

Grenadier lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mask shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Grenadier drops Mask with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mask looks back up at him and smiles so Grenadier waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Mask is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grenadier pounces like a tiger and cracks Mask with a vicious hook! Mask is down but not out! Grenadier follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A very excited looking Panzer Grenadier made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
