Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Arthur Klychko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Michal Michalski!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michalski fails to land the takedown.
Michalski shoots in for a double leg but Klychko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Klychko falls off balance throwing a combination
and Klychko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Michalski drives through and clinches with Klychko against the cage.
Klychko wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Michalski ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Michalski no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Klychko wants to stand and escape but instead Michalski has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Michalski's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Klychko is breathing heavily.

Michalski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Klychko but Klychko pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Michalski shoots for a takedown but Klychko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Michalski dives in and grabs Klychko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Klychko pushes down on Michalski's head and hops out.

Michal Michalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Michalski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Klychko's waist but Klychko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Michalski off to one side.
Good leg kick by Michalski there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Michalski's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Klychko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Michalski is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Michalski tries for a takedown but Klychko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Michalski jumps into guard, dragging Klychko to the mat.
Michalski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Klychko's guard.
Michalski is stalling in the full guard.
Michalski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Michalski throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Klychko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Michalski is in Klychko's guard.

Klychko is trying to push Michalski away but Michalski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Michalski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Klychko looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Michalski lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Klychko backwards.

Klychko gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Michalski.

Michalski wants the takedown. Klychko is fighting it off but Michalski persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Klychko's guard against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Michalski is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Klychko rolls with it to try and escape but Michalski cranks on the arm and Klychko is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Michal Michalski!
An out of breath Michal Michalski thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
