Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ignacio Pickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhon Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima tries to close the distance and clinch but Pickett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lima can't break the clinch.

Pickett wants the takedown. Lima is fighting it off but Pickett persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lima's guard against the cage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lima is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pickett has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pickett!

Pickett is pushing down on Lima's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lima is fighting to maintain full guard but Pickett has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pickett drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lima looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lima looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lima!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jhon Lima wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lima shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pickett sprawls well. Pickett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lima gets slowly back to his feet.
Pickett shoots in looking for a takedown but Lima manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pickett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lima tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pickett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lima somewhat.

Pickett is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lima is just riding it out for now. Pickett eventually gives up the hold.

Lima isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pickett stacks Lima on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pickett!

Jhon Lima is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
