Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Coffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimo Mylly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tristan Coffey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raimo Mylly!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coffey takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Coffey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Coffey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mylly, pushing him back against the cage.

Mylly manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Coffey controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Mylly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coffey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Coffey pushing down on Mylly's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Coffey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mylly's head.
Coffey lands with a punch from half guard.

Coffey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mylly defends it well.

Mylly looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Coffey not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Coffey stalling.
Coffey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tristan Coffey just wasn't active enough.
Coffey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mylly pinned against the cage. Mylly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mylly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Coffey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Coffey feints and as Mylly raises his hands in defense, Coffey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mylly looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Coffey tries to free his leg and advance position but Mylly is retaining full guard.
Coffey engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mylly is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mylly perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Coffey closes the distance and clinches.

Mylly gets control of Coffey's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mylly will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Coffey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Coffey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mylly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mylly manages to get back to half guard.

Coffey is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mylly has managed to free his arm - good work.
Mylly tries to get to full guard but Coffey has control of the leg.
Coffey wants to stand up but Mylly manages to regain full guard.

Coffey is looking to stand up but Mylly won't let him.
Coffey throws a big right hand that misses.
Coffey controls from within his opponent's guard.

Tristan Coffey has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Mylly looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mylly is breathing heavily.

Coffey trying to control but Mylly postures up.
Mylly wants to control but Coffey is keeping him busy.
Coffey preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Mylly is thwarting Coffey's attempts to control the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Mylly is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Coffey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mylly.
Coffey is looking for a sweep. Mylly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Coffey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Coffey tries to get out of the position.

Mylly lands strikes from half guard.
Mylly wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coffey keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Coffey wants to get back to full guard.
Coffey is trying to maintain the position but Mylly is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tristan Coffey dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Coffey slaps away a takedown attempt from Mylly, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mylly misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Mylly gets caught flat footed, as Coffey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Coffey working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Coffey looking to sit in guard and control but Mylly gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Coffey keeping moving, preventing Mylly from controlling successfully.
Mylly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Coffey tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Coffey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mylly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Mylly drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Coffey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mylly has Coffey in his guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

and Coffey counters by moving into the clinch.
Coffey drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Coffey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mylly uses from the top position.

Mylly stops Coffey from standing up.
Coffey pulls Mylly in close to his closed guard and prevents Mylly from doing any damage or advancing position.
Mylly wants to control from the top but Coffey keeps moving.
Coffey trying to keep a closed guard but Mylly is proving a slippery customer.
Mylly slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Coffey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mylly is trying to defend but Coffey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mylly looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coffey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Tristan Coffey showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coffey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
