Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dingadingading Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Colt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liam Colt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dingadingading Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Colt!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Colt as Dong shoots in.
Colt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Dong scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Colt is just riding it out for now. Dong eventually gives up the hold.
Colt tries to roll over but Dong keeps him under control.
Dong trying to control the action but Colt is working from the bottom.

Dong drops back looking for a leg! Colt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Colt manages to kick Dong off! Dong jumps back into Colt's guard.

Colt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dong is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Colt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dong's back instead.
Dong looking very determined here, making life difficult for Colt.

Colt patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Colt has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Dong tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Dong is breathing heavily.

Colt looking for a guillotine from mount but Dong is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dong wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Colt.

Colt seems to be working for a kimura but Dong defends the submission attempt.
Dong wants to control but Colt passes into side.

Colt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dong knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dong manages to get back to half guard.

Dong regains full guard. Nicely done.

Dong keeping busy on the bottom but Colt has passed one foot through into half guard.
Colt not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Dong is staying active underneath Colt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Colt is working away from the top position though.
Dong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Colt's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Colt's back!

Dong has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Colt trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Dong is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Colt knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Colt for a finish.
Dong thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Colt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dong's guard. Nice work there by Colt.

Dong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Colt tries a head kick but it misses.

and Dong counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Colt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dong wants to pass the guard but Colt is defending well.
Dong is trying to control the action in half guard but Colt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Colt tries to get to full guard but Dong has control of the leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dong wants to take a breather but Colt is having none of it.

Colt is looking for a sweep. Dong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Colt misses with a takedown attempt

and Dong counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Colt's guard now.
Dong wants to pass the guard but Colt is keeping the position.
Colt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dong passes Colt's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dong is trying to control the action in half guard but Colt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dong missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Colt looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dong wants to take a breather but Colt is having none of it.

Dong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Colt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Colt throws a head kick that half lands.
Colt tries to clinch there but Dong circles away.
Colt has his takedown stuffed

and Dong counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dong.
Dingadingading Dong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Colt.

Colt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dong wants to control from the top but Colt keeps moving.

Dong tries to free his leg and advance position but Colt is retaining full guard.

Dong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Colt throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Dong thows a big elbow that misses.
Colt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dong passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Dong swings around for an armbar but Colt sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dong's guard.

Dong looking for a guillotine here but Colt defends easily.

Dong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Colt is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dong.

Dong tries to buck Colt off but Colt is having none of it.

Colt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dong, who protects the arm well.
Dong gets back to half guard.

Dong manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Dong decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dong prevents Colt from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dingadingading Dong dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Dong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dong tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Colt lying in Dong's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Dong decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Colt taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
