The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Pettis throws a series of punches but Vaughn moves out of range.
Pettis darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Reinaldo Vaughn has been cut.
Pettis thows a body shot but no joy.
Pettis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pettis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vaughn.
Pettis thows a leg kick but Vaughn checks it

so Vaughn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Pettis looking for a guillotine here but Vaughn defends easily.

Pettis looking for subs off his back but Vaughn has passed one foot through into half guard.

Vaughn postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pettis to stand up.
Pettis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pettis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Vaughn backs up against the cage.
Nice uppercut lands for Pettis. That snapped Vaughn's head back.

Vaughn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pettis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Sloppy strikes from Pettis. Those never looked like landing.
Oh Vaughn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pettis throws an overhand right that drops Vaughn like a sack of potatoes! Pettis dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
