The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov misses with a takedown attempt - Aasi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kozlov fails to land the takedown.
Kozlov shoots in and drives through. Aasi sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mirka Kozlov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aasi looks to land a right hand but Kozlov moved out of range.
Kozlov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kozlov tries to clinch up but Aasi circles away and keeps his distance.
Aasi throws a nice looking combination but Kozlov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aasi shoots in and bounces Kozlov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kozlov working a defensive guard but Aasi passes into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Aasi in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kozlov tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Aasi!
