Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Le Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome Le Banner is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Mendoza.
Banner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mendoza takes a swing at Banner's ribcage but misses.
Mendoza scores with a shot to the body.
Banner moves in looking to clinch but Mendoza pushes him off.
Mendoza connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Banner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mendoza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mendoza misses the jab.
Banner moves out of range of the strikes.
Mendoza throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Banner on the side of the head.
Banner has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Banner dives in and grabs Mendoza's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mendoza pushes down on Banner's head and hops out.
Mendoza throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mendoza misses with a low kick.
Banner tries to clinch but Mendoza is having none of it.
Mendoza stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mendoza wants it to stay on the feet.

Banner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Banner swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Mendoza has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Banner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendoza tries to avoid it but Banner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendoza to the ground. Mendoza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Banner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mendoza throws a hook but Banner avoids it easily.
Mendoza lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mendoza.
Mendoza pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Banner back to the cage. Mendoza follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Banner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mendoza circles away.
Mendoza throws a combination. Banner tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mendoza moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Banner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Banner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Banner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendoza tries to avoid it but Banner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendoza to the ground. Mendoza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Banner gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Banner fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mendoza to the ground. Banner is now in Mendoza's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Banner is looking to work some ground and pound but Mendoza has wrist control.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mendoza is on top in guard.

Mendoza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Banner's guard.

Mendoza seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Banner is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
