The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderbeet is looking to clinch.

Vanderbeet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sliper, pushing him back against the cage.
Sliper blocking some punches.
Vanderbeet tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sliper avoids it.
Vanderbeet digs a right hand into Sliper's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sliper's gas tank.
Vanderbeet is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sliper is defending well for now.
Sliper drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vanderbeet pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vanderbeet lands a jab to Sliper's midsection.

and Vanderbeet counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sliper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vanderbeet circles away.

Sliper is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sliper has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vanderbeet avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Sliper gets control of Vanderbeet's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sliper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've been hearing that Vanderbeet has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Vanderbeet has an Americana. Sliper didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Vanderbeet is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Vanderbeet hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
