Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barrett Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bone has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bone clinches with his opponent.
Hanson wants to take the fight to the mat but Bone manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hanson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hanson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hanson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bone as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barrett Hanson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bone throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hanson.

and Hanson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hanson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bone uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hanson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bone decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hanson, up you get!

A pretty intense looking Hunter Bone took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
