Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hoy Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Nelson.
Nelson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nelson throws a push kick but Snow slaps the foot to one side.

and Snow counters with a shoot takedown. Nelson fights it but they end up in guard.
Snow with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Snow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Nelson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nelson wants to stand up but Snow is controlling him.

Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Snow is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Nelson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jon Snow wasn't active enough on the ground.
Nelson throws a solid leg kick but Snow takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nelson.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Nelson throws a lazy head kick

and Snow counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Snow.

Snow loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snow controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Snow paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Snow takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Nelson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Snow checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Nelson tries to score with a low kick but Snow moves his leg out of the way.
Snow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Snow steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nelson. That one must have hurt.

A head kick misses from Nelson.
Hoy Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson throws a body kick that misses.
Snow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nelson.
Snow takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hoy Nelson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nelson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Nelson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Nelson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Snow avoids it.

Well, if Snow is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Snow lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Snow passes the guard and advances to mount!
Snow won't let Nelson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nelson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Snow.
Nelson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jon Snow will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Nelson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Snow passes Nelson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Snow is pressing down on Nelson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nelson is holding on for now.
Snow is nestled in close to Nelson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Snow is looking to advance position but Nelson won't allow it.
Nelson is trying to stand.

Snow thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nelson's head.
Snow looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Snow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nelson keeps working.
Snow might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nelson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Snow wants to pass to mount but Nelson is defending the position.
Snow throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Nelson to regain full guard.
Hoy Nelson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Snow winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
