The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley looks to land a right hand but Trifu moved out of range.
Trifu keeps the fight on the outside.
Trifu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Trifu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stanley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Trifu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Oooooh!!! Trifu has knocked Stanley down with a huge combo! Trifu steps away and waves a wobbly Stanley back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Shinya Stanley has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trifu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stanley clinches.
Trifu throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Trifu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stanley dodges the punch combination from Trifu.
Trifu misses with a few strikes there.
Trifu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Trifu misses with a double jab.
Trifu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stanley on the side of the head.
Stanley is rocked!
No joy there for Trifu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stanley is still on wobbly legs! Can Trifu finish him?
Stanley throws a poor cross that misses
and Trifu counters with a nice body shot.
Stanley seems to have recovered his senses.
Stanley misses with a few strikes there.
Trifu thows a body shot but no joy.
Trifu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trifu lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Stanley goes down and covers up as Trifu starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flavius Trifu!
