PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Musashimaru Koyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hug Raction (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koyo comes to the cage accompanied by "Tengoku Kara Kaminari" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hug Raction!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raction blocks a jab.
Raction misses with a wild combination.
Raction swats away the attempt to clinch by Koyo.
Koyo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Raction was well out of range. Poor timing from Koyo.
Koyo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Raction doesn't seem bothered though.
Koyo throws a body punch but Raction moves out of range.
Raction looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Koyo moves out of range of the strikes.
Koyo scoring well with a low kick there.
Koyo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Raction connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Koyo's hands.

The fighters circle momentarily. Raction darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Koyo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raction manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

It looks like Musashimaru Koyo has been cut.
Hug Raction is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Raction doesn't manage to clinch there - Koyo circles away.
Koyo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Raction's sensitive parts.

We've been hearing that Koyo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Koyo wants to control from the top but Raction keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Musashimaru Koyo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Raction swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Raction has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Koyo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Raction swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koyo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Raction enables Koyo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Raction manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Raction is rocked!
Koyo loads up on a big left hand. Raction felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Koyo looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Raction can't hide his disappointment, as Koyo celebrates the victory.
