Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earnest Abe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abe comes to the cage accompanied by Uncle Sam Goddamn. Emelianenko has chosen Enea Vollare Mezzo as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Earnest Abe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Abe as he jumps to the side.
Abe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Emelianenko thows a body shot but no joy.
Emelianenko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Emelianenko looks to land a right hand but Abe moved out of range.
Abe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Emelianenko.
A looping hook to the body misses from Emelianenko. Abe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Abe throws a leg kick that misses.
Emelianenko takes a swing at Abe's ribcage but misses.

Emelianenko dives in and scores a takedown into Abe's guard.
Abe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Abe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Abe controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Earnest Abe.
Abe lands with an overhand left.
Abe looks to throw the jab but Emelianenko is out of range.
Emelianenko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Emelianenko throws a series of punches but Abe avoids them all with ease.
Abe misses with a wild body shot.

A jab lands there for Abe.
Abe slips a jab and a cross from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko lands a nice shot that snaps Abe's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Emelianenko is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Abe rather than just go for the knockout.

It looks like Earnest Abe has been cut.

Emelianenko takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Abe tries to land a front kick but Emelianenko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Abe throws a leg kick but Emelianenko checks it.
Emelianenko takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Fedor Emelianenko will probably get the nod.

Emelianenko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Abe can pounce on him.

Abe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Emelianenko is looking for a triangle but Abe pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Abe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Abe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Emelianenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Abe has managed to get both his arms back between Emelianenko's legs - danger averted.
Fedor Emelianenko is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
