Pereira has chosen Method Man ft Redman - Da Rockwilder as his entrance music. Alex Pereira will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira misses with the combination.
Pereira keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Pereira is looking to land body kicks.
Pereira throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gracie takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Some wild striking there from Pereira.
Pereira throws a wild body kick that Gracie sees coming a mile off.
Pereira connects with a leg kick. Gracie looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gracie checks the leg kick nicely there.
Pereira fails to land with a series of punches.
Gracie has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Caveman Fight Team in the buildup to the fight.

Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pereira sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gracie wants to pass to mount but Pereira is defending the position.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
