The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindi feints and as Ballenger raises his hands in defense, Lindi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lindi drops back looking for a leg! Ballenger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ballenger manages to kick Lindi off! Lindi jumps back into Ballenger's guard.

Lindi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lindi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ballenger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lindi on the ground.
Lindi wants to control but instead Ballenger manages to regain half guard.
Ballenger tries to kick Lindi off in order to stand up. Lindi Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ballenger tries to bum rush Lindi with a series of wild strikes but Lindi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ballenger swats away the attempt to clinch by Lindi.
Lindi shoots in but no luck this time.
Lindi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lindi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ballenger did well to prevent Lindi getting side control.
Lindi decides to stand up.
Ballenger scores with a sloppy right hand. Lindi should have avoided that one.
Lindi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ballenger swivels and escapes.
Lindi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Paul Ballenger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karbal Lindi.
Ballenger drops Lindi with a huge uppercut! Lindi drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Ballenger is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

In defeat, Karbal Lindi stepped up to the mic, saying 'Just bad luck'.
