Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Biggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biggins's entrance music is My Pants. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emerson Biggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson throws a combination. Biggins tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Biggins lands a high kick to the side of Henderson's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Biggins dives into guard, looking to finish.


Henderson is rocked!


It looks like Dan Henderson has been cut.
Henderson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Henderson is still in real trouble! Can Biggins finish him?
Henderson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Henderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Biggins sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Henderson seems to have recovered his senses.
Henderson keeping moving, preventing Biggins from controlling successfully.
Biggins prevents Henderson from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Biggins tries to keep at a distance but Henderson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Henderson forces Biggins back against the cage and clinches.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Biggins.
Henderson is looking to control Biggins's arms but Biggins gets an underhook and turns him. Now Henderson has his back to the cage.
Biggins with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Henderson wants to get back to striking at distance but Biggins won't allow it.
Henderson avoids the elbow strike from Biggins, against the cage.
Biggins prevents Henderson from breaking the clinch.
Biggins is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Biggins unloads a knee to the mid-section. Henderson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Biggins jumps into guard, dragging Henderson to the mat.
Biggins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Biggins looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Biggins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Biggins wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Biggins is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Biggins lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Henderson!

Henderson is desperately trying to improve his position but Biggins has a good base and remains in mount.
Biggins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Biggins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Biggins throws some wild stikes that Henderson manages to avoid easily.
Biggins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Henderson is looking to escape.
Henderson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Biggins tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Biggins controlling from mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Henderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Emerson Biggins just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Biggins thuds his shin into the meat of Henderson's side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Dan Henderson's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Biggins. Henderson shrugs it off though.

Biggins closes the distance and clinches.

Biggins throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Henderson breaks the clinch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Biggins, right into the meat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Henderson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Biggins - the referee stops the clock and Henderson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Biggins. Henderson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Biggins has managed to clinch.
Biggins connects with a knee to the head.
Henderson takes an elbow to the temple.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Biggins lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Biggins stalls.

Biggins seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Biggins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Biggins lands a nice leg kick that just misses Henderson's sensitive parts.

Henderson gets caught flat footed, as Biggins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Biggins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Henderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Biggins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Sloppy strikes there by Biggins.
Biggins controlling the position from side mount.
Henderson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Biggins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Biggins is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Henderson's shoulder. That is not cool.
Biggins advances nicely into full mount.

Biggins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Henderson for as long as he can get away with.

Biggins looking to finish with strikes here!
Biggins throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Biggins thowing shots but they're missing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Emerson Biggins just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Biggins connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Henderson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Biggins goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Biggins lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Biggins lands a brutal head kick. Henderson looks out on his feet and Biggins throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
