The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozozo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kozozo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jacobson circles away.
Jacobson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kozozo.
Kozozo fails with the takedown.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zozo Kozozo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jacobson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kozozo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jacobson leaves Kozozo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Zozo Kozozo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kozozo closes the distance and clinches up with Jacobson, looking for a takedown. Kozozo pushes Jacobson against the cage but Jacobson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jacobson swats away the attempt to clinch by Kozozo.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kozozo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kozozo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jacobson circles away quickly and effectively.
Kozozo doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobson circles away.

Jacobson closes the distance and clinches.
Kozozo is trying to push Jacobson away but Jacobson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kozozo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Jacobson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Jacobson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kozozo is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
