The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francisco fails to land the takedown.
Stagliano lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Daniel Francisco has been cut.

Kendrick Stagliano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Francisco turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Francisco manages to end up in side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Francisco tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Francisco has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Francisco misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Francisco is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Stagliano looks calm but he's in trouble here. Francisco gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Stagliano is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Francisco lets go of the hold and Stagliano can pop his arm back in it's socket.
