Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brett Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Garner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rogers's guard.

Garner drops back looking for a leg! Rogers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rogers manages to kick Garner off! Garner jumps back into Rogers's guard.

Garner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Garner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rogers is proving hard to escape from.

Garner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Garner is taking a breather. Rogers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Garner wants to pass to mount but Rogers is defending the position.
Garner winds up and cracks Rogers with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Garner is trying to control. Rogers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Garner has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Garner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rogers looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Garner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Garner pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rogers can do anything to dispel that myth.
Garner is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rogers is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Garner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Garner is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rogers has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Rogers is bucking up trying to escape but Garner cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Garner wants to control the pace but Rogers is squirming around nicely.

Garner has isolated one of Rogers's arms. Rogers looking to fight him off but Garner twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
