Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keen Manki!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Seigi Ozeki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ozeki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Manki circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice sprawl there from Ozeki as Manki shoots in.
Manki shoots in for a double leg but Ozeki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ozeki throws a right and a left that Manki avoids nicely.
Ozeki works Manki's body with a nice hook.
Ozeki scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Manki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ozeki stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ozeki wants it to stay on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manki tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ozeki just stands there and leans against the cage.

Manki jumps into guard, dragging Ozeki to the mat.

Ozeki decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ozeki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ozeki tries to keep at a distance but Manki has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ozeki is looking to break free of the clinch but Manki has double underhooks.

Ozeki is trying to break the clinch but Manki is controlling him.

Manki gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Manki in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ozeki is controlling Manki's posture.
Manki told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manki is looking to take a break and control but Ozeki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ozeki is looking to regain half guard here but Manki keeps moving and retains side control.

Manki thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ozeki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Manki wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Manki tries to move to mount but Ozeki blocks the move with his legs.

You can see the frustration on Ozeki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Manki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ozeki keeps working.
Ozeki tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manki is looking to take a break and control but Ozeki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Manki misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Seigi Ozeki will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ozeki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ozeki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Manki.

Manki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Ozeki throws a right hand that Manki ducks under and follows up with a left that Manki also avoids with ease.

Ozeki leaves Manki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Manki avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ozeki lands a head shot.
Manki uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ozeki.

Manki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ozeki is fending him off so far but Manki persists. Nope, Ozeki circles away and we're back to standing.

Ozeki connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Manki momentarily.

Ozeki tries to get to full guard but Manki has control of the leg.

Manki is looking for a kimura but Ozeki is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Manki to get the leverage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Manki seems to be looking for submissions.
Ozeki is not content to let Manki control the position.
Manki is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ozeki wants to improve his position but Manki is controlling well.

Keen Manki has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Manki is trying to control the action in half guard but Ozeki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Keen Manki.
Ozeki looks to score with a jab to the body but Manki is just out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Ozeki. Those never looked like landing.
Manki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ozeki as he avoids it easily.

Manki tries to clinch but Ozeki is having none of it.
Ozeki fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Manki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Manki looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ozeki ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seigi Ozeki dominated that second round.
That's time! Ozeki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Manki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ozeki misses with a double jab.
Manki tries for a takedown but Ozeki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ozeki pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Manki has a takedown stuffed.
Ozeki lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Ozeki lands a big uppercut and Manki crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Manki looks OK. Ozeki waves Manki back to his feet!


Manki is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ozeki fakes the body blow, causing Manki to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Manki goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
