And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Toshiro Hitsugaya!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grir moves in looking to clinch but Hitsugaya pushes him off.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Hitsugaya tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Grir manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

and Grir counters with a body kick that stops Hitsugaya in his tracks momentarily.

Hitsugaya using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Grir has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hitsugaya is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Grir has denied him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grir lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hitsugaya unloads a knee to the mid-section. Grir lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Toshiro Hitsugaya will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

The referee calls for Grir to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hitsugaya stalling in the clinch but Grir improves position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pilchard Grir.
Well Grir has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
