Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 23 - 1, fighting out of London, Matthew Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jackie Treehorn!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon tries to bum rush Treehorn with a series of wild strikes but Treehorn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cannon cracks Treehorn with an open hand slap.
Treehorn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cannon thuds his right hand into Treehorn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Cannon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Treehorn was well out of range. Poor timing from Cannon.
Cannon takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cannon lands a jab to Treehorn's midsection.
Cannon's corner calls for a 1-2. Cannon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Cannon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cannon.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cannon throws a left that rocks Treehorn and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cannon dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Treehorn regain composure!

It looks like Jackie Treehorn has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cannon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Treehorn keeps working.

Cannon content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Treehorn takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Cannon in side control, throwing shots but Treehorn defends.

Cannon is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Treehorn will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Cannon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Treehorn sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cannon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cannon lands a few punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Treehorn takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Treehorn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cannon.

A punch lands to the side of Treehorn 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cannon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Treehorn moves away.
Jackie Treehorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Treehorn is still on wobbly legs! Can Cannon finish him?
Treehorn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cannon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Treehorn seems to have recovered his senses.

Matthew Cannon is winning the standup battle so far.
Treehorn gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Treehorn tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Cannon is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Treehorn buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Treehorn!! Treehorn is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Cannon throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
