Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Tsutomu Miyazaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lazano De Anda!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyazaki closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
De Anda looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Miyazaki takes a jab right on the kisser.
De Anda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miyazaki manages to avoid it.
De Anda has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
De Anda tries to clinch

and Miyazaki counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Miyazaki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Miyazaki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now De Anda is on top in guard.

Miyazaki passes De Anda's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Miyazaki not landing any meaningful shots this time.
De Anda is looking for a sweep. Miyazaki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Miyazaki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so De Anda is just riding it out for now. Miyazaki eventually gives up the hold.

De Anda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
De Anda has Miyazaki pulled in close to control his posture.
Miyazaki trying to control the position from guard on top but De Anda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Miyazaki is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

De Anda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miyazaki is aware though and is defending well.

Miyazaki tries to free his leg and advance position but De Anda is retaining full guard.

Miyazaki has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. De Anda is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Miyazaki.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyazaki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but De Anda wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Miyazaki manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Miyazaki is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
De Anda keeping moving, preventing Miyazaki from controlling successfully.
Miyazaki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

De Anda wants to clinch.
De Anda displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miyazaki throws out the jab.
Miyazaki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
De Anda connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Miyazaki momentarily.
De Anda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miyazaki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
De Anda misses with a looping left.
De Anda misses with a wild body shot.
De Anda tries to clinch there but Miyazaki circles away.
Miyazaki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from De Anda.
De Anda tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyazaki was well out of range. Poor timing from De Anda.

De Anda sizes up Miyazaki with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
De Anda is looking to clinch.
De Anda misses with a shot to the body

and Miyazaki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Miyazaki in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Miyazaki cracks De Anda with a solid left hand.
Miyazaki trying to control but De Anda is working from the bottom.
Miyazaki throws a strike but De Anda rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

De Anda is working Miyazaki over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
De Anda lands a couple of decent looking shots.

De Anda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Miyazaki wants to hit a switch here but De Anda passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Miyazaki there!
Miyazaki manages to regain half guard. Good work.

De Anda trying to control but Miyazaki is having none of it.

Miyazaki bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Miyazaki throws an elbow that misses. De Anda uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Miyazaki's guard. Nice move by De Anda!
De Anda is fighting to break Miyazaki's control of his arms but Miyazaki is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
De Anda advances position into side control!
De Anda wants to control but Miyazaki is keeping him busy.

De Anda cracks Miyazaki with an elbow. That is naaassty.
De Anda postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

De Anda has hold of Miyazaki's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Miyazaki seems comfortable defending it but De Anda has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Miyazaki is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Miyazaki is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but De Anda couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lazano De Anda!
