Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Capwell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Haunted - 99. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mason Capwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayden Ray!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray tests Capwell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ray misses with a left hand
and Capwell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ray misses with a telegraphed body shot

It looks like Jayden Ray has been cut.
Capwell thows a body shot but no joy.
Ray ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Capwell moves away.
Capwell bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ray throws a lazy right hand but Capwell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ray moves out of range as Capwell strikes.
Capwell cracks Ray with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ray misses with a body shot
and Capwell counters with a nice body shot.

Capwell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Capwell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ray down.
Capwell is looking to take a break and control but Ray is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've been hearing good reports from Capwell's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Capwell throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Ray looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Capwell in side control lands a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ray on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ray is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Ray is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Capwell is controlling him well.
Capwell cracks Ray with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Capwell lands a nice forearm strike.
Ray is looking for a sweep.
Capwell working the head with strikes.
Capwell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ray down.
Ray is working to avoid the ground and pound but Capwell connects with a decent elbow.
Capwell looks up at the clock and then as Ray takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Capwell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!


Ray is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Capwell scores with punches from side control.
Ray is still in real trouble! Can Capwell finish him?
Capwell scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Ray is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Capwell can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mason Capwell!
Mason Capwell tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
