The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreno shoots for a double leg takedown but Gaius sprawls well. He's pushed Moreno's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gaius shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Moreno fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Gaius closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moreno did well to prevent Gaius getting side control.

Gaius wants to work for an arm triangle but Moreno is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Gaius is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moreno is just riding it out for now. Gaius eventually gives up the hold.
Moreno is looking to control Gaius's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moreno avoid being mounted?

Gaius looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gaius is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Moreno doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gaius.

Gaius in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Moreno tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gaius!
