Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Otso Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Redshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jokinen's entrance music is E.S. Posthumus - Unstoppable. A fine choice. Redshaw has chosen ACDC - Skies on Fire as his entrance music. Otso Jokinen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 3, fighting out of Helsinki, Dexter Redshaw!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redshaw lands a head kick!
Redshaw lands a jab to Jokinen's midsection.
Redshaw shoots in and drives through. Jokinen sprawls well.

Redshaw looking to score a takedown here. Jokinen is defending well but Redshaw drives through and ends up in Jokinen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redshaw throws a big right hand that misses.
Redshaw postures up in Jokinen's guard and throws a big left but Jokinen blocks it.
Redshaw throws an elbow that misses. Jokinen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Redshaw's guard. Nice move by Jokinen!
Redshaw has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jokinen has passed into side control.
Redshaw manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Redshaw has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jokinen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jokinen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Redshaw's guard.
Redshaw tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Jokinen has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Jokinen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Redshaw is looking to escape.

Jokinen prevents Redshaw from improving his position.

Jokinen's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Redshaw not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jokinen trying to control but Redshaw is working from the bottom.
Jokinen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Redshaw is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Redshaw is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Redshaw looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jokinen is one step ahead there.
Redshaw throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Redshaw shoots in for a takedown but Jokinen shows good takedown defense.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Redshaw fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Otso Jokinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dexter Redshaw.
Redshaw shoots in for a takedown but Jokinen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Redshaw is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jokinen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Redshaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Jokinen tries to sprawl out of it but Redshaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jokinen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Redshaw shoots in for a double leg but Jokinen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Otso Jokinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dexter Redshaw.
Jokinen lands a really nice looking cross but Redshaw seems unphased.
Jokinen catches Redshaw with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Jokinen stalling in the clinch but Redshaw improves position.

Redshaw struggles to land a body shot inside as Jokinen controls his hands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jokinen is trying to maintain a safe position but Redshaw gets an underhook and turns Jokinen into the cage.

Redshaw manages to break the clinch.
Jokinen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Redshaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Redshaw has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jokinen finds it's way round the side to connect with Redshaw's head.
Jokinen misses with a straight left.
Redshaw shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jokinen sprawls well. Jokinen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Redshaw gets slowly back to his feet.
Redshaw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jokinen.

so Jokinen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jokinen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jokinen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Redshaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jokinen has managed to get both his arms back between Redshaw's legs - danger averted.

Redshaw pushes a forearm under Jokinen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jokinen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

After winning the bout, Dexter Redshaw thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
