Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guillermo Espada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Fair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Espada comes to the cage accompanied by Greedy Fly. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guillermo Espada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dwayne Fair!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fair shoots in but no luck this time.
Fair's coach down at Blitzkrieg Fighting Systems: Ground was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fair's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Espada lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fair backs up against the cage.
Espada uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Fair looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Espada closes the distance and lands a one-two.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Espada gets caught flat footed, as Fair shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Espada lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Guillermo Espada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Espada shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fair eats them both and turns towards Espada to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Espada lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Espada.
