The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Thiago Pereira has been cut.
Pereira walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McDougle checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Pereira steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from McDougle. That one must have hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pereira drives through and clinches with McDougle against the cage.
McDougle is pushing Pereira up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The crowd are getting on McDougle's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
McDougle tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
McDougle lands with a left to the head.
Pereira jumps guard but McDougle turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
McDougle avoiding damage.

Pereira is trying to maintain a safe position but McDougle gets an underhook and turns Pereira into the cage.
McDougle is struggling to control the position.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Arnie McDougle.
McDougle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
No luck for Pereira with that takedown attempt.
McDougle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pereira.
Pereira misses with a takedown
and McDougle counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Pereira. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pereira is breathing heavily.
McDougle scores with a nice strike.
