The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago lands with a nice combination. Head backs away looking to recover.

so Head counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Drago wants to hit a switch here but Head passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Drago there!
Head is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Drago wants to hold on but Head pushes him away.

Head is looking to stand but Head has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

You can see the frustration on Drago's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Horace Head overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Head has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Drago is proving hard to escape from.
Drago pulls Head in close to his closed guard and prevents Head from doing any damage or advancing position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drago can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
