Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ronaldo Oliveira was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oliveira is defended easily by Doyle.
Oliveira tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Doyle defends well and Oliveira ends up having to push Doyle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Doyle stops a takedown attempt from Oliveira.
Sonny Doyle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronaldo Oliveira.
Doyle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oliveira walks away with a smile on his face. Doyle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Oliveira looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Oliveira tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doyle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oliveira somewhat.
Doyle moves in looking to clinch but Oliveira pushes him off.
Doyle throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oliveira shoots in and gets a takedown into Doyle's guard.
Oliveira trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Doyle pulls Oliveira in to control the position.
Oliveira trying to control the position from guard on top but Doyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oliveira stands and throws Doyle's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Oliveira has hold of Doyle's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Doyle tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Oliveira cranks the arm and Doyle screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Doyle, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ronaldo Oliveira!
