Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Icarus Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ritter comes to the cage accompanied by Postmortem - Slayer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Icarus Ritter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Lee Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter cracks a nice hook into Jackson's ribs.
Ritter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Ritter sprawls well.
Jackson lands with a hook. Ritter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ritter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ritter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ritter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ritter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.
Ritter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A lazy left from Ritter finds it's target.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Ritter.
Icarus Ritter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Jackson.
Ritter wants to slow Jackson down by chopping away at his legs.

Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ritter sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jackson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ritter.
Ritter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ritter but Ritter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ritter lands a lovely overhand right.

Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Ritter ducks down to avoid it.

Ritter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Jackson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ritter on his heels. He'll look to pass Ritter's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Icarus Ritter will probably get the nod.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ritter's guard.
Ritter is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ritter avoid being mounted?
Jackson is keen to just control but Ritter is a slippery customer.

Jackson is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Ritter to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Ritter is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Ritter controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Icarus Ritter just wasn't active enough.
Ritter misses the jab.

Jackson lands a jab to Ritter's midsection.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ritter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.

Icarus Ritter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Jackson.
Jackson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ritter pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ritter is pressed up against the cage. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ritter down to the mat. Ritter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ritter is looking to wear down Jackson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Ritter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ritter connects with a looping right hand.
Ritter throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ritter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Ritter.
Jackson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Ritter looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range.

Ritter lands a big head kick that sends Jackson tumbling to the mat! Ritter takes a step backwards and waves Jackson back to his feet - he wants the finish!


The cut above Lee Jackson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ritter is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Ritter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ritter.
Ritter jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.


Jackson is rocked!


Lee Jackson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jackson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Ritter finish him?
Ritter cracks Jackson with a left hook right on the temple and Jackson goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Ritter lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Jackson is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Icarus Ritter!
As Icarus Ritter got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Fixing some bad habits, reinventing myself as a fighter, and showing the world that with the proper guidance I can be a force. All on my list for 2014. '.
