The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Yamaguchi or perhaps it was just good defense by Laranja which made him look bad.
Yamaguchi slips a jab from Laranja.
Laranja goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Laranja throws a push kick but Yamaguchi slaps the foot to one side.
Laranja clinches up with Yamaguchi and pushes him back against the cage.
Laranja is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yamaguchi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Laranja to the mat. Laranja regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
